I'm always thankful for my mother's advice to put dates on my work, I can't grasp your logic. She had me start when I was still scribbling with crayon, and I love looking back at those old scribbles and seeing how far I've come. I don't put dates on most stuff I make now but it exists in metadata since 99% of my work is digital.

I like to put a watermark over a piece of character body like over their leg and a different ver of my watermark on characters shirt/clothes where text can be written. It actually looks very smart but also make sure to put another one where its not easy for art thieves to cover or even on the shirt only if u draw very detailed clothes because its gonna be hard to remove the watermark

I started dating more recently. It’s nice because I have seizures that cause memory loss so seeing how far I’ve come with my own work and being surprised by a piece just to realize it’s mine is nice. That and I used two different signatures on my pieces. One is my art tag the other was for pieces where I would’ve just pumped out a doodle. I figured to just hide both in all my illustrations. So if anyone tries to erase one they might overlook the other. Like a gecko and its tail.

Dates make art more valuable and slightly easier to trace when dealing with antiques. The downside is that whatever value this has, is not going to happen or be relevant in your lifetime.

I've been dating my art for AGES since I was in middle school and it helps me chronologically sort all of it throughout the years, as well as to just see how far I've come in terms of my skills, though I'm not sure if removing the date after watching this is something I'm comfortable with doing since the dates have been a part of my signature identity.

I think its best to make a new mouth shape every time because that way you have a lot more control and can do facial expressions easier

i feel like level 1 is where most artist are considering how hard it is to go to level 2 my artwork has amazing aesthetic qualities however and may look very pleasing to look at its still level 1 as my skills are bad

The best signature is the one that blends into the image in a way it's part of it.

If I did digital art, I would agree. Almost every file is almost flawlessly displaying its creation date. However, I do pencil. That doodle could be from yesterday or from 2013, I have no way of knowing the difference.
